Fit by Renda
Your privacy
Privacy notice version 2026-10-v2
In short
- We collect what we need to train you safely, book your sessions, prepare your plans and take payment.
- Your health information is never sold and never used for advertising.
- To draft a meal plan or training guide, your questionnaire answers are sent to an AI service (Anthropic’s Claude, in the United States). Your photos and your emergency contact are never sent. Renda reviews every plan before you get it.
- Our database and your files are stored in Canada.
- You can see, correct or delete your information at any time: from Privacy in your account, or by emailing fitbyrenda@gmail.com.
Who we are
Fit by Renda is Renda’s personal training business in the Greater Toronto Area. Renda is responsible for your personal information. Questions or requests: email fitbyrenda@gmail.com or call 416-949-1393.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number.
- Bookings and purchases: the sessions and programs you book, the address for in-person sessions, any notes you add, and for partner sessions your partner’s name and email address.
- Your health and lifestyle questionnaire: your goals, height, weight, age, health questions (such as heart conditions, medications, surgeries, injuries, pain areas and pregnancy), food allergies and intolerances, eating habits, sleep, stress and where and how you train. You can skip any measurement.
- An emergency contact, used only if something happens during a session.
- Photos and videos, only if you choose to share them (for example progress photos), with your consent.
- Messages you send Renda through the website.
- Payments: the amount, tax and status of each payment. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Your agreements: when you accepted the exercise waiver and this privacy notice, and the name you typed.
If you fill in the questionnaire for your partner, please make sure they agree. They can review and change their answers with their own invitation link.
How we use it
- To plan safe sessions that suit your health, abilities and goals, including a seated version of every exercise.
- To book, remind you about and manage your sessions, and to send your plans.
- To take payments, give refunds and keep the records that tax law requires.
- To answer your messages.
- To understand, in general terms, how people find and use the website (see “Website visits”).
AI-drafted plans
When you buy a session or program that includes a meal plan or training guide, a first draft is prepared with the help of AI. Your questionnaire answers (for example your goals, health questions, allergies and food preferences) are sent to Anthropic’s Claude service in the United States to write that draft.
Your photos, videos and emergency contact are never sent to the AI. Renda reviews and edits every plan before it’s sent to you. Plans give general healthy-eating and exercise guidance; they are not medical advice.
You agree to this when you accept the privacy notice in the questionnaire. If you’d rather not, talk to Renda before ordering a plan.
Who else handles your information
We use a few trusted companies to run the website. Each only gets what it needs to do its job:
- Google Cloud hosts the website, our database and your files (including photos and videos) in Canada.
- Google (Firebase) handles signing in. Google Calendar holds Renda’s schedule: each session’s time, who it’s with, their phone number and where it is (your address for sessions at home), never your health details or the notes you add when booking.
- Stripe processes card payments and refunds.
- Resend sends our emails (confirmations, reminders and your plans).
- Anthropic drafts plans from your questionnaire answers (see “AI-drafted plans”).
- YouTube shows the exercise videos on our exercise pages. The player loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube sees that you opened the page; it may set its own cookies once you play a video.
Some of these companies process information in the United States, where it may be subject to US law. We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
Website visits
When you visit our website, we count the visit ourselves. We don’t use Google Analytics, advertising trackers or cookies for this. For each page you view we record the page, the website that sent you (for example Instagram), any campaign tag in the link, your type of device (phone, tablet or computer), and your approximate city, province and country. We work out the location from your IP address when you visit and then discard the IP address: we never store it. To count how many different people visit each day, we keep a code made from your IP address, your browser and a random secret that we replace every day and don’t keep. It can’t be turned back into your IP address or used to follow you from one day to the next. Visits aren’t linked to your account, we don’t count visits to your account, messages or invitation pages, and Renda’s own visits aren’t counted. We delete visit records after two years. Questions: fitbyrenda@gmail.com.
Keeping it safe
- Everything travels over encrypted connections.
- Photos, videos and plans are stored privately and shown only through short-lived links.
- Only you, Renda and the person who looks after the website for her can see your information, photos and videos.
How long we keep it
- Client records are kept while you train with Renda and for as long as needed afterwards to answer questions about your sessions.
- Payment records are kept for at least six years, as Canadian tax law requires.
- Website visit records are deleted after two years.
- When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your questionnaire, photos and videos, messages and plans that haven’t been sent, and remove your name and contact details from our payment records, which we keep for six years as tax law requires. A plan you already received is kept only as a record that it was sent.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. You can also withdraw your consent (for example, to stop AI drafting or to remove your photos), although we may then be unable to provide some services.
If you have an account, go to Privacy in your account to download a copy of your information at any time, or to ask for your account to be deleted. Renda confirms with you before deleting it, and talks to you first about any sessions you have coming up.
Email fitbyrenda@gmail.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (opens in a new tab).
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your information in an important way, we’ll update this page and ask you to accept the new notice the next time you use your questionnaire.
